Do you listen to Television? It is really not difficult, they only have two albums both of which have recently been re-released on CD. Buy them, no I am serious.

The album Marquee Moon catches and does bizarre things to you within the first 3 seconds of the first song “See no Evil.” Personally, it made me immediately want to purchase a vintage fender jazzmaster and start playing odd eccentric lead guitar. Television is labeled as a punk band, if you take this at face value you will have absolutely no comprehension of how talented these guys are. From the song structure, to the witty lyrics you know that there is really no other band like Television. It is conceivably possible that they really need a genre created specifically for them.

They even seem to do the 10 minute jam well. The title track intrigues you with this catchy riff that keeps repeating itself. The band will carry this on to the point where you are just getting annoyed with it then take you off on some tangent or fool you into thinking the song is over. This sounds like a bad thing, it is not, you actually enjoy being annoyed by this band.

As a final note, buy this album.
